Jake is a wonderful, humble person. He is always encouraging and supportive of his friends and teammates, and he is not boastful of his accomplishments or his abilities. As a club team athlete, he trains both before and after school in the water with his NTC coach, and on his “days off” he is often found doing crossfit workouts and encouraging others to train with him. This past season, he would frequently ask if he could help coach the rookie high school swimmers on Wednesdays from 3pm until his own practice began at 4pm. Out of the water, he excels as well. His unweighted GPA is a 4.0, and his weighted GPA is 5.07. Smart and athletic, gracious and unassuming. He is able to balance all the things he values in a way that allows him to give 100% in all areas and be the very best version of himself that he can be. Holder of two school records, four time district champion, one time regional champion, and two time podium medalist at the state level, Jake is an amazing student athlete and deserving winner for ERHS male Athlete of the Year.  Jake will be attending FSU in the fall.
