JOHN QUIRK – BOYS SOCCER

Coach Quirk led the boys soccer team to a school record 17 wins.  They finished the season 17-4-1 and finished second in one of the toughest district tournaments in the state losing a close one 3-2 to West Orange.  They won the first round of the playoffs with a 4-0 win over Tampa Newsome before falling 1-0 in the Regional Semifinals to Lakewood Ranch.  They were ranked in the Orlando Sentinel Super 6 and finished ranked top 50 in the state of Florida according to max preps.  All good coaches have some quality players that make them look better.  The Knights were led by three seniors Randie Hernandez, Sebastian Testa and Adrian Luyo who combined for 59 goals and 34 assists.  These three young men set the tone for East Ridge soccer and left a lasting legacy that hopefully the returning young players will build on.  Congrats Coach Quirk on winning the 2019-2020 East Ridge Coach of the Year.
